In the Winter and Spring of 2016, The Federation of Calgary Communities will be working alongside Fairview Community Association and students from the University of Calgary’s senior Urban Studies class on Imagine Fairview, a project that will look at what Fairview could be in 50 years.

This is an opportunity for community residents to envision the potential that surrounds them through a collaborative grassroots process, developing a shared vision for the future. This is a proactive step towards developing guidelines and priorities for future development.

This project will happen in two sessions: first, community members and other stakeholders will meet to discuss their vision for the community during an engagement session on January 30, 2016. Students from the University of Calgary will take what they hear at this session and develop suggested guidelines for future development, which they will share with the community in April 2016. Watch this site for updates as the project progresses! If you would like to know more, or to contact us, please visit the get involved page here.
